Concept
The site has two major potentials. One is the local market which people buy and sell goods, vegetables and animals. The other potential is open spaces which are left abounded. If this two elements can be combined and integrated together they can help the society in developing the site and also the neighbouring sites by providing organized local market place and also communal play grounds.
 
The conceptual frame work is to create a flow through the market area and to connect the site
with the existing open market. The form of the market area is inspired from a  woman holding an umbrella to protect herself from the sun.
The circulation path of the market areas is developed from the traditional sieve  in Amharic called 'sefed'.
